Executive Director

Our current Executive Director is Grace Jun (Parsons – MFA, RISD – B.A.), who is also an Adjunct Lecturer at Parsons School of Design (NY) where she teaches undergraduate fashion students and a Collab course that continuously tests the OSL model. Grace’s work at OSL has received nation-wide attention, and has been featured at the White House Fashion Show Celebrating Inclusive Design, Assistive Technology, and Prosthetics,  ABC Channel, and Avantex Paris – Messe Frankfurt. She has been asked to speak about disability and design in numerous settings, including Design Indaba 2017, Universal Design Conference NY, and Forum for the Future.

Summer ​Intern

POSITION SUMMARY: The OSL Summer Intern will Participate and assist with ideation sessions, bringing new ideas and new thinking to solve pain points to the Summer Program of 2017. She or he will assist the Executive Director with program operations, communicate with internal parties.
Schedule: 3 Months from June- August 2017
Job Type: Stipend for Transportation & Food


  • Full-time student in an accredited 4 year college, Fashion degree or MBA / entrepreneurial master’s program.
  • Passion for emerging technology (devices, wearables, websites, apps, health tools, etc.) or healthcare solutions.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, openly sharing ideas, & taking smart risks. Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Creative, resourceful, and has advanced problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Collaborates effectively with cross functional partners
  • Strong business aptitude, knowledge of healthcare industry preferred or inclusive fashion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Programs (video is a plus)
  • Dates of Internship are June 1 – August 25, 2017
  • Must be available to work Saturdays 8am-6pm during this time frame plus additional 3-6 hours during the week.

Executive Assistant:
POSITION SUMMARY: The OSL Executive Assistant will participate in strategic planning & implementation, requiring close communication and interaction with Executive Director & Board of Directors. He or she will project manage all phases of assigned initiatives, particularly the Summer Program by assisting with the recruitment process, and maintaining contacts in the disabilities community or past OSL fellows. The Executive Assistant will conduct industry research in the fields of wearable technology, assistive tech, universal design, and adaptive clothing on a periodic basis and prepare reports, trend analysis, executive summaries, presentations etc. *Skills in graphic design would be helpful. He or she will coordinate and prepare for all meetings/events attended by the Executive Director, design and plan special off-sites for OSL such as press, conferences or setting up exhibitions that follow the 10-week summer program.
QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred degree but not limited to PR/Marketing or Communications. Must have least 2 years of professional experience and some design knowledge or experience working with designers.
